- Cable pooling
- Cable pooling means connecting several renewable plants (e.g. PV and wind) through a single grid connection within one connection capacity.
- COD (commercial operation date)
- COD is the date a renewable plant starts commercial operation, after construction, grid connection and acceptance tests.
D
- DSCR (debt service coverage ratio)
- DSCR is cash flow available for debt service divided by debt service in a period. The Enedeal engine requires at least 1.20 for project finance.
- Due diligence of a renewable project
- Due diligence is the legal, technical and financial review of a renewable project before acquisition or financing, based on documents and analysis.

- EPC (engineering, procurement, construction)
- EPC is a contract where one contractor delivers design, procurement and construction turnkey, usually with guaranteed date and performance.
- ESCO (energy service company model)
- In the ESCO model a third party finances, builds and operates the plant and the offtaker pays for energy or savings, with no upfront capital.

- Grid connection conditions and connection agreement
- Connection conditions set whether and how the operator will connect a plant; the connection agreement is the binding commitment of both parties.

- Investment teaser
- A teaser is a short anonymous summary of a project for sale: technology, capacity, stage and region, without location, owner or price.
- IRR (internal rate of return)
- IRR is the discount rate at which the NPV of project cash flows equals zero. Equity IRR accounts for debt financing.

- LCOE (levelized cost of energy)
- LCOE is the discounted lifetime cost of a plant divided by its discounted energy output, expressed in EUR/MWh.

- NPV (net present value)
- NPV is the sum of a project's discounted cash flows minus the initial investment. A positive NPV means the project creates value.
P
- PPA (power purchase agreement)
- A PPA is a long-term contract to buy power from a renewable plant at a fixed price or formula, securing project revenues.
- Project finance
- Project finance is debt repaid solely from project cash flows, lent to a special purpose vehicle and secured on its assets and contracts.
R
- RTB (ready-to-build)
- RTB is the stage at which a renewable project has land rights, a signed grid connection agreement and a final building permit.
