A PPA (power purchase agreement) is a long-term contract under which a buyer purchases power from a specific renewable plant at a fixed price or pricing formula. A cPPA (corporate PPA) is signed by a company that consumes the power rather than a trader.

A PPA stabilises revenues, which makes project finance easier and raises the project's sale value.
